So my SUNLU Filament Connector arrived today…..

And now I find out I don’t have a USB A charger with enough wattage to power the darn thing.

AAARRRGGGGHHHH. I waited months for it to arrive and …. fail.

@Ianbradbury Yeah this page has no mention of the requirement…

What does it need? I think my highest rated are 120watts over USB.

@Ianbradbury I’m also curious what is the required wattage

Ian Bradbury

@Verxion - the documentation does not provide details regarding power requirements.

I found that plugging the USB into my docking station caused [a] my Mac to throw an alert saying a USB device was drawing too much power, and, [b] while the SunLu connector woudl power on, it would power off as soon as I attempted to heat the device.

I ordered up a Belkin 2 x 12w USB brick. Should arrive later today. Fingers crossed it does the trick.

@Ianbradbury @Verxion The one that I just received specifies an input requirement of 5V 2A in the manual. I plugged it in the 2.4A USB A port on my power brick and it worked without issues.

Ian Bradbury

@Siff - A Manual. I didn't receive one of those, anyhow, It does also specify the 5V 2A on the underside of the device, which of course I ignored.

I really need to update my short review of the device as after attempting to join filaments I have thoughts.
